I’m just a normal Boro lad, some would say not normal, proud dad to my daughter Darcie, 38 going on 21. Coming from the north east, your just born into it, my dad was a goalkeeper for local level and taught me everything he knew, I loved kicking a ball about every day/night, outdoor and in the house! but just seemed to be a natural thing to just be between the sticks, And my dad brought that out more in me. Big Boro fans and just wanted to one day do what my heroes did. Well coming through at Lilleshall national school, and then into academy and young pro..
I’m Elliott Durrell, 31 year old attacking midfielder who is comfortable on either wing or preferably in number 10. Had a good few years in Non-League and tasted the EFL with Macclesfield Town in 18/19 season following promotion from the National League as Champions. Played for some big non-league clubs including Wrexham, Altrincham FC, Chester FC, AFC Telford United, Hednesford Town FC, York City FC and Tamworth FC.
Born in Teeside, made my League 2 debut at 17 for Hartlepool then went on to play over 100 games before signing for Crewe where I played a full season then went on loan to Wrexham for half of season and then signed for Shrewsbury where I’ve been the last year and this year coming. The thing I noticed more was that winning was so important and it meant a lot more to people with family’s and the mentality from a kid to a professional was a massive difference…
My name is Luke waterfall , I am 29 years old and play for Grimsby Town FC in the League 2. I would say I am an old school type of centre back. I like to defend first and for most and organise the team on the pitch. I joined Barnsley at 13 years old and went through to the u18s with them. At the time the club was in the championship , and likelihood of playing at the time was probably slim. The first team manager wanted players who would be ready for the first team, and released all my age group…
I’d like to think I’m an all-round midfielder as I’ve got a good first touch, wide range of passing, improving at driving with the ball and I don’t mind the dirty side, for example running, heading, tackling. Massive, it’s all I’ve ever really known & gives me a purpose every day.
Within a football environment , I’d say everyone at the club you’re at as you all want to achieve the same goal….
Football is for many years one of the best sports. There are a lot of new football clubs, but there are plenty of old football clubs.
