I’m Simeon Maye, from Birmingham. I work at a Primary school as a learning mentor. I support the better side of Manchester and I enjoy beating everyone at badminton! Ever since I was young I’ve been good at long distance running. So I’d say a big quality of mine is getting around the park for 90 minutes, landing on seconds and bringing other into play. In my senior career I started off at Boldmere St Michaels. Was there for 2 years before moving to Redditch United. Was also there for 2 years before joining Hednesford Town. Short spell there only there for 5 months before moving to Solihull Moors.
I am 34 years old, gas fitter and play for Leamington FC part time. Not a particular reason just enjoyed kicking a ball round when was little an stuck to it I Suppose. Actually no never started as midfielder was more of a striker when younger, scored a lot of goals growing up & that was when Wolverhampton Wanderers contacted me where I enjoyed 7 years at the club. Don’t really have an rituals before any game…
My name is Dan Sweeney. I’m born in Birmingham and play football for Solihull Moors FC. Football is my life. It’s all I’ve known my whole life and every day I wake up I am grateful for the job (if you can even call it that) that I have. There’s a lot more to a professional footballer than people think, things they don’t see but part of the profession is not to be distracted or let anything off the pitch affect you on the pitch and training ground. You have to be very very strong mentally.
You would expect that there are enough football clubs in England. But not everyone is agree with that. That’s why you see even the last years, still new football clubs. The new clubs are founded with the knowledge of today. As a result, they grow quickly and you see them more and more in the current competitions. Much to the chagrin of old traditional football clubs. Still, there are enough football lovers who like it.
