Interview Simeon Maye

I’m Simeon Maye, from Birmingham. I work at a Primary school as a learning mentor. I support the better side of Manchester and I enjoy beating everyone at badminton! Ever since I was young I’ve been good at long distance running. So I’d say a big quality of mine is getting around the park for 90 minutes, landing on seconds and bringing other into play. In my senior career I started off at Boldmere St Michaels. Was there for 2 years before moving to Redditch United. Was also there for 2 years before joining Hednesford Town. Short spell there only there for 5 months before moving to Solihull Moors.

Interview Matthew Urwin

Hello I’m Matthew Urwin currently goalkeeper for Chorley FC, I joined the club on loan from Fleetwood town in 2017 and made the move permanent in 2019 after spending a great year and a half at the club. I’d say I’m a shot stopper personally .quick around the goal and difficult to beat. However I’d also say I’m commanding on the pitch demanding the most out of the players. To be honest I don’t have any rituals apart from the same match warm up. Other than that I just get on with the game.

Interview Chelsea Weston

My names Chelsea Weston and I currently play for Coventry United in the WSL Championship. When I was younger I was a centre forward and I used to go and watch Worcester City every week home and away. The CF at the time and my favourite player was Sam Bowen! He was a clinical goal scorer and a legend! I think when I started to train with the first team I was very young so the difference was a lot. I think I was 15 at the time and then going to train with the likes of Jo Potter and Kaz Carney was a massive step up then.

Interview Luke Coulson

I’m Luke Coulson, I play for Bromley FC in the National League and I joined the club in November of 2018. Firstly, David Beckham, growing up as a Manchester United fan, it was impossible not to love the idol that is Beckham.
Secondly, Zinedine Zidane, I fell in love with his quality and the way he plays the game, majestic is the only word. Thirdly, Wayne Rooney, the passion and enthusiasm he has for the game combined with his ability was just phenomenal.

Interview Toby Lees

I am Toby Lees, 23, and I am a Centre Back who plays in the National League North for Alfreton Town. Growing up in a footballing family background I have always been around football and it is something which has been ever present in my life, from being a supporter as well as actually playing. Being a defender, I always watched the likes of John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, who were very good footballers technically but most importantly were very traditional defenders in terms of making sure they did their job first-defend.

Interview Ben Turner

Grew up in Birmingham. Son of a gardener. Always wanted to be a footballer or the next Linford Christie. By senior school I knew football was my best chance. I always loved Roy Keane. He was so serious about the same and put everything on the line to win and I loved that growing up. The biggest difference in my position was the size and strength of the strikers I was up against. I caught the back end of the era of dele Adebola, Darius Henderson’s of the championship. It was get strong and tough or forget about a career at centre back.
