Interview Brennan Dickenson

Hi my name is Brennan Dickenson, I’m 27 years old. Born in Middlesex and have been a professional footballer since I was 18. I am currently playing for Carlisle United FC. I have been told over the years that’s I have good pace, strength and quality. For me being left footed adds an extra bit or rarity. I feel my best quality is getting forward, crossing and set pieces. Southampton was much more of a professional set up, and demanded the right attitude and application at all times. There was an expectation at all times to be the best.

Interview Samir Nabi

My name is Samir Nabi and I currently playing for Hereford FC. I’m a ball playing midfielder who can create opportunities and score goals. I break things down more with interceptions than tackles. Yeah I was always one of the players who liked to get involved with the goals whether it was scoring them or assisting them. In that season I think I ended up with plus 12 goals. My youth experiences were good, always enjoyed the competition of playing against other big clubs and trying to stand out.

Interview Ed Williams

I’m Ed Williams and currently playing for Doncaster Rovers FC. I started playing football with the people on my street from a young age, having brothers who also enjoyed playing, we used to go out and play on the field by our house. Those were my earliest memories of playing and starting to fall in love with the game. I would always be playing in the playground at school and got enjoyment from running past everyone and scoring 😂
I started off playing midfield from an early age and sometimes played out on the wing as I often do now..

Interview Ben Worman

I’ve played football all my life, been a Cambridge United fan since I can remember. I Joined Cambridge age 8 after playing locally for water beach colts and have always loved football since a young age. Love to watch football whenever I’m not playing it and talk about it with my mates whenever I’m not watching it! It’s very important to me as it’s what I’ve grown up doing. It’s what my friends and family are invested in too, so they show great support in me and want to see me succeed that’s why it means a lot to do well as I’d like to try and make those around me proud.

Interview Alice Griffiths

I’m Alice Griffiths, 19 years old and a Centre midfielder for Charlton Athletic Women. My dad introduced me to football when I was quite young and I’ve loved it ever since. I started out as a striker but now play as a holding midfielder. I have also played as a centre back internationally, but my favourite position is in centre midfield because I can get on the ball much more. Mia Hamm was, and still is, a big inspiration to me. She plays in the same position and although she retired before I started playing I watch so many videos of her game.

Interview Simeon Maye

I’m Simeon Maye, from Birmingham. I work at a Primary school as a learning mentor. I support the better side of Manchester and I enjoy beating everyone at badminton! Ever since I was young I’ve been good at long distance running. So I’d say a big quality of mine is getting around the park for 90 minutes, landing on seconds and bringing other into play. In my senior career I started off at Boldmere St Michaels. Was there for 2 years before moving to Redditch United. Was also there for 2 years before joining Hednesford Town. Short spell there only there for 5 months before moving to Solihull Moors.
