Interview Ryan Hill

Names Ryan Hill, Play outside or up top for Hampton and Richmond and I’m 22. To me football is everything and has been all my life, train every day to get better and improve to reach the highest level I can. Started playing football from about 4 and parents obviously saw I enjoyed it so they took me to a local club, and no when I was young I played up top. Didn’t play midfield till 11 a side games. Growing up it was Rooney and Ronaldo when they was both at man united…

Interview Luke Waterfall

My name is Luke waterfall , I am 29 years old and play for Grimsby Town FC in the League 2. I would say I am an old school type of centre back. I like to defend first and for most and organise the team on the pitch. I joined Barnsley at 13 years old and went through to the u18s with them. At the time the club was in the championship , and likelihood of playing at the time was probably slim. The first team manager wanted players who would be ready for the first team, and released all my age group…

Interview Tom Hadler

Hi, I’m Tom Hadler and a goalie from Kent… Currently a free agent after leaving Eastbourne Borough I’m looking forward to getting back playing properly as soon as possible after COVID! For me it is definitely the goalie coach at the top. It is so important to have someone that knows how to challenge you and help you improve through relevant sessions but at the same time keep the environment fun, positive and confident. Obviously your team in general are massively important…

Interview Jay Foulston

I’m a 19 year old football player who lives in Swansea and plays for Newport county! Football has always been a massive part of my life since I was young. My qualities as a defender I would say are on the ball as I like to play and try to keep my self-composed on the ball at all times! I got into Newport academy just after I turned 15 as they were watching me when I played for Cardiff development squad and picked me up from there. Yes made my debut against Southend United and it was an unreal moment for me something I’ve dreamt of all my life…

Interview Charlie Wakefield

I’m Charlie Wakefield, 20 years of age and played for Chesterfield for just about 10 years, coming all the way through the academy, youth team and then into the first team. I can play several positions; Left back, left wing back and also anywhere across midfield, my preferred position is as a number 10 behind the 2 strikers. I got into the academy by just having trials at the time I think I was U11 and then worked all the way through into the youth team. I’d say my youth team coaches at the time in my first year of my scholarship which would be Mark Smith and Dylan Kerr.
