Guaranteed show in Imola during race-2 of the Dtm championship, Sunday 19 June. Under a decidedly summer sun, between overtaking, contacts on the track and in the pit lane, and punctures, the sprint race offers a scenario full of variables. At the checkered flag celebrates the Audi R8 of Swiss Ricardo Feller – who started from the first position on the grid -, in front of another car of the Four Rings, that of Dev Gore. Third is Marco Wittmann’s BMW M4, which conquers a place on the podium during the last of the 33 laps. Bortolotti closes in 10th position on Lamborghini. After greeting the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Autodrome, which hosted the German series for the first time, the next appointment will be staged in Germany on the Norisring track on the weekend of 3 July.

At the start, the Brazilian Fraga took the lead at the end of the first lap, passing Feller’s Audi at speed on the main straight. The first “jolt” comes ten minutes from the start, due to the contact between the Lamborghini number 19 of Ineichen and the Porsche number 24 of Preining at Rivazza: no consequences for the drivers, but the race over for them. A long yellow flag regime follows, during which the obligatory pit stop “waltz” begins. Starting from his garage, Bortolotti in the Lamborghini number 63 collides with a Mercedes in the pit lane (he will not suffer a penalty for unsafe restart, but the race direction asks the Italian driver to return the position). At the restart, Fraga suffers a puncture and ends his race prematurely, when he was among the favorites.

When there is half an hour to the checkered flag in front of the other Ferrari, with Cassidy at the wheel, who has not yet stopped for the obligatory pit stop. After the stops, in the second half of the race Feller returns to lead the “dances” in front of Gore, in an Audi, and Auer, in a Mercedes; Bortolotti is 10th, the first Ferrari with Cassidy occupies the 17th position, which he keeps up to the flag. The last lap “lights up” with a very tight challenge to gain a position on the podium, behind the unstoppable Feller: Wittmann gets the better of Auer and brings a BMW to the podium. At the finish line Bortolotti is 10th with a delay of 9 ” 807.
