No amount offered comes close to the request for 80 million from the Biancocelesti. But with the Blues we can talk about various counterparts
English sirens for Sergej Milinkovic and Lazio are studying a new strategy. Given that – at least for the moment – there are no offers close to the minimum request of the Roman club for the Serbian player (80 million), we are beginning to evaluate the possibility of an exchange of players linked to the sale of the Sergeant.
Who can arrive
A hypothesis that is gaining ground after Chelsea have joined the clubs already interested in the Serbian (Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle). A cold interest, for now. Not only have there been no offers from the London club yet, but no more or less informal contacts either. It was only leaked a liking for the Lazio player by the manager of the English team Tuchel. If it were to turn into something more concrete, Lazio is thinking of asking the British company to include technical counterparts in any offer. A path that would make it easier to reach the 80-100 million euro valuation that Lazio is aiming for. And also to strengthen the squad to give to Sarri, given that in Chelsea there are three players who are of great interest to the coach. These are goalkeeper Kepa, left-back Emerson Palmieri and midfielder Loftus-Cheek.
All players that Sarri knows well for having trained them when he was sitting on the Chelsea bench. Loftus-Cheek is considered by the biancoceleste the ideal element with which to replace Milinkovic in case the Serbian leaves. He has a high salary, but still within the reach of the Roman club (unless he renews, the current agreement expires in two years) and a valuation of 20 million euros. Chelsea should let him go, especially if Milinkovic comes in exchange. Even for Emerson Palmieri, the London club would have every interest in favoring a sale. The Italian-Brazilian was on loan at Lyon this year and is not part of Tuchel’s plans. He could leave for a small amount, around 10 million. As for Kepa, on the other hand, we can reasonably think about a loan given that the Spanish goalkeeper was bought for a figure close to 80 million. Then there is also the hiring node (Kepa earns an extra budget figure for Lazio): Chelsea should cover a part of it. In any case, a solution could be found.
