The LOU extends its executives

At the end of a season marked by victory in the Challenge Cup and while Xavier Garbajosa will replace Pierre Mignoni, the LOU has formalized the contract extensions of thirteen players including many executives of its workforce.

The LOU has decided to bet on stability. While the technical staff will be reviewed with the departure for Toulon of Pierre Mignoni and the arrival of Xavier Garbajosa to replace him, the workforce will not be turned upside down in the months and years to come. Indeed, through a press release, the Lyon club has confirmed that no less than thirteen members of its workforce have extended their contracts between 2023 and 2025. Appointed club captain when he arrived at the start of the season, Jordan Taufua does not intend to leave the banks of the Rhône anytime soon. The New Zealand third-line has, in fact, committed until 2025 with the LOU, which relies on “its energy and its natural leadership”. A time announced in the small papers of Toulon, Léo Berdeu will not fail in Lyon. Top scorer in Top 14, the opening half will remain Lyon until 2024 when his alter-ego of the hinge Baptiste Coulloud signed until 2025.

Executives remain loyal to the LOU

Also from the Lyon formation, Félix Lambey does not see himself in any other jersey than that of the LOU, which he will wear at least until 2025 just like Dylan Cretin. Despite a season disrupted by a serious knee injury, Kyllian Geraci has not lost the confidence of his leaders, who are counting on him for another two seasons, until 2024. Toby Arnold, meanwhile, will reach the decade in the Rhone workforce. Best try scorer in the club’s history, the New Zealander who arrived in 2013 is now signed up for one more season, until 2023. When he will soon be 37 years old, Francisco Gomez Kodela can’t see himself hanging up his boots yet and also decided to extend the adventure for another year. It is the same for the international at 7 Tavite Veredamu and Guillaume Marchand, loaned this season by Toulouse. Vivien Devisme and Loann Goujon, meanwhile, have signed until 2024 when Xavier Mignot now has a contract valid until 2025. Finally, the young shoots Théo William and Yanis Charcosset are linked to the LOU for the next three seasons, against only two for Michaël Guillard.
