MotoGP FP2 Sachsenring Bagnaia flies, then Marini: it's Ducati hat-trick.  7th Quartararo

The Sachsenring heats up, times collapse and the flag waves: in the second free session of the German GP of the MotoGP the morning references are crumbled and the profile of the Ducati still stands out in front of everyone. The Borgo Panigale manufacturer, on a more rubberized and faster track, hits a hat-trick with the best time of Pecco Bagnaia in 1: 20.018, preceding Luca Marini (team VR46) at 115 thousandths, and Jack Miller, third at 0.193 after being was the fastest of the morning. Desmosedici in great shape, with six bikes in the first nine places, thanks to the 5th time of Johann Zarco (Pramac) at 0.246, the 6th of his partner Jorge Martin (0.257) and the ninth of Fabio Di Giannantoni (Gresini) at 0.527 .


In the ten also Aleix Espargaro’s Aprilia, very competitive and 4th at 0.201; the world leader Fabio Quartararo, 7th with the Yamaha at 0.381; Maverick Vinales, eighth at 0.460 with the second bike from Noale, and Joan Mir, tenth with the Suzuki at 0.556. All qualified for Q2 at the moment.

Out of the ten Enea Bastianini, here without his track engineer, Alberto Giribuola, absent for Covid, and 13th with the Gresini team’s GP21, while Alex Rins, still sore from his hand injured in the accident in Catalonia, grits his teeth and is 11th with Suzuki. The other Italians are behind: Franco Morbidelli 15th, Marco Bezzecchi 16th and Andrea Dovizioso 23rd after the eighth time in the morning.
