Associated with transfer rumors to Bilbao, Antoine Griezmann liked two tweets denying this information, he should stay at Altetico.

In trouble with theAltetico Madrid this season between injuries and irregular performances, and also struggling with the French team in the Nations League, Antoine Griezmann is struggling to regain his health after his chaotic time in Barcelona. With 12 goals and 9 assists in 47 matches in all competitions (club and selection), the French international (108 caps, 42 goals) had his worst season since 2013 from a statistical point of view.

A departure for Bilbao?

On loan for another year with the Colchoneros, the 2018 world champion has been linked to several transfer rumors in recent weeks. Announced as a potential coach of the Rojiblancos, Marcelo Bielsa has expressed the wish to recruit “Grizi”, but this Friday the native of Macon has somewhat calmed his enthusiasm. Griezmann just liked two tweets, but the message seems clear.

Not a chance

The first comes from journalist Oier Fano Dadebat who said: “Understand that Antoine Griezmann will never play for Athletic (Bilbao), that’s obvious. La Real (Sociedad) is one of his favorite clubs. Stop inventing ».

The second is the work of the famous journalist Sky Sports Fabrizio Romano, specialized in transfers. “Antoine Griezmann does not discuss with Bilbao despite the rumours. It’s not even conceivable. Griezmann only has one plan for next season… And it’s called Atlético Madrid, at their best”.

Without having needed to speak, Antoine Griezmann therefore answered questions about his future. Unless the situation turns around, he should wear the colors of Altético for the 7th year of his career. His loan only expires in a year.
