A few days after the defeat in the final of the Women’s Basketball League against Bourges, the Rhone club formalized the arrival for the 2022-2023 season of French international winger Gabby Williams, silver medalist at the last Euro and bronze at the Olympics.
While she is currently playing under the colors of the Seattle Storm in the WNBA, the native of Sparks will once again make a detour through Europe, after having played in Naples, Girona, Lattes-Montpellier then Sopron during the last four seasons. Taking advantage of her French ancestry through her grandmother, Gabby Williams joined Les Bleues a little less than a year ago, taking advantage of the possibility offered by FIBA to field a naturalized player and the absence due to injury of Bria Hartley to become a major part of the team then led by Valérie Garnier.
