On the night of Friday to Saturday, for its third Nations League match, France won again, this time against Canada (3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-21)).

The full box continues for the French men’s volleyball team. On the night of Friday to Saturday, for their third match of this 2022 edition of the League of Nations, in three days, on the side of Ottawa in Canada, the Blues won again, this time against Canada (3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-21)). However, for this new encounter, the basic six had been reworked by the tricolor coach, namely Andrea Giani, who explained this on the official website of the French Volleyball Federation (FFvolley): “I have used my players for the past two weeks (during friendly matches, editor’s note), in each match I have tried to change a few players. They had match rhythm. And in practice, during our six-on-six, these guys won more times than our starters. Everyone is happy. I like their concentration, their energy. It was not easy tonight because there were a lot of Canadian fans, but we played good volleyball.”

Chinenyeze as boss

Alongside Olympic champions Jean Patry (8 points), Yacine Louati (10 points) and Barthélémy Chinenyeze, who finished top scorer (15 points including 5 blocks), we found Raphaël Corre, Pierre Derouillon (9 points), Médéric Henry (5 points) and Jérémie Mouiel. A team which therefore knew how to play its game perfectly. In the first set, despite a few equalizers (3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, 8-8, 9-9, 10-10), Canada never led, trailing to +9 (25-16). In the second set, the Canadians scored the first point and also managed to equalize more than once (7-7, 11-11, 12-12, 17-17), but without success. The Blues had up to five lengths ahead (23-18) then concluded (25-23). Finally, in the third and final set, this time, Canada was able to lead more, but without taking off. At 17-18, the Blues reversed the situation, to win, thanks to a final 8-3 (25-21). The reigning Olympic champions, the only leaders of this League of Nations, will end this week of competition this Sunday, against Poland.
