The paintings of Halle and the Queen's

The preparation for Wimbledon continues next week with the tournaments in Halle (Germany) and Queen’s (London, Great Britain). Find the table of the two tests.

Halle does not have the happiness of welcoming his master, Roger Federer. Title record holder in the tournament with no less than ten lines to his name, the Swiss is not yet fit to return to competition. World number 2 Daniil Medvedev is present and serves as the number 1 seed on the German turf. He will start against the Belgian David Goffin while Stefanos Tsitsipas (n°2) will face one of the two Frenchmen present: Benjamin Bonzi. The Greek wants to bounce back after stopping in the quarter-finals in Stuttgart. Third-seeded and 1st-round opponent of Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili Andrey Rublev arrives in Halle as the outgoing runner-up. He was then beaten at this stage of the competition by Ugo Humbert. The tricolor player, 48th in the ATP ranking, will begin the defense of his title against a qualifier.

The Queen’s courts, an unmissable event of the grass season, are deserted by the French. None are participating in this 2022 edition which sees Casper Ruud, seeded number 1, return to competition after his final at Roland-Garros. The draw reserved British guest Ryan Peniston for his entry into the running. The other top seeds, namely defending champion Matteo Berrettini (No. 2) and American Taylor Fritz (No. 4), will cross swords at the start of the week with locals, respectively Daniel Evans and Jack Draper. This is not the case of the best Briton in the world ranking, Cameron Norrie (n°3), for whom the introduction will be far from obvious against Grigor Dimitrov. Andy Murray, former world number 1 and most successful player in London, is also in the game. The British legend who brought down Stefanos Tsitsipas last week in Stuttgart, will launch his adventure ahead of Lorenzo Sonego.
