After having been the protagonist at the turn of the 60s and 70s, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GT is about to return thanks to the restomod of Emilia Auto. The German tuner specializing in the restoration of masterpieces from the Emilian Motor Valley this time aims a little further north. He has in fact disclosed the first official renderings of the reborn Giulia GT. It will be produced in 22 copies, at a price in line with the most exclusive limited edition models: it starts from around 400 thousand euros.

The aesthetic changes of the Alfa Romeo Giulia GT Restomod are functional to the mechanical update which has significantly increased the power compared to the peak of 132 HP of the road version of the ancestor. The most important innovations concern the openings on the sides to cool the brakes and engine, while the rear bumper has been modified to make room for the generous extractor adopted to keep the car glued to the ground. On the nose, however, the original circular optical groups have been replaced by the LED ones.

No interior renderings were widespread, modernized to ensure the level of comfort of current cars, while retaining the original layout. The dashboard houses an infotainment system that can be managed from an 8.8 “screen, in addition to the controls to manage the latest generation dual-zone air conditioning. the materials of the upholstery and the type of audio system.

The most important changes, as can be expected from this type of work, are hidden by the bodywork. Under the hood of the Giulia GT Restomod there is a carbon fiber frame that houses the powerful 2.9-liter V6 that drives the current Giulia Quadrifoglio, revised to deliver 540 hp against the 510 of the Arese top-of-the-range sedan. The parallel adoption of radiators for cooling and intercoolers forced the Emilia Auto technicians to lengthen the wheelbase, for a length increased by 40 mm compared to the original.
