Ferrari Cavalcade Icon, Monza SP1 and SP2 on parade from Milan to Fiorano

For the first edition of Ferrari’s “Cavalcade Icona”, there will be 80 examples of the Monza SP1 and SP2 boats, which will arrive from over 20 different countries. It starts on 11 June from Palazzo Reale in Milan, the public events will then close on the 15th of the month on the historic Fiorano circuit

Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 side by side in the first edition of the “Cavalcade Icon 2022” in Maranello, to be held between 11 and 15 June. The two “boats” will be found in the program reserved exclusively for limited series cars in the history of the Cavallino. In total, there will be 80 examples of the two models of the “Icona” line, which will come from over 20 countries. Ready to cross some cities of Italy to show all their beauty, such as the historic squares of Bergamo, Cremona and Stresa, in addition to the parades on the shores of lakes Maggiore (with its Borromean Islands) and Varese, a visit to the Reggia di Colorno and the exhibition in front of the Military Academy of Modena.

From Milan to Bergamo

A unique event that will start on 11 June from Milan, in front of the Palazzo Reale with the exhibition of the cars between 10 and 19, and on 15 June will have Fiorano as its final stop. The public events will end on the evening of June 15 right at the track – on the 16th only private ones will be held for customers and collectors – with the celebrations of the 75th anniversary. After the exhibition in front of the Palazzo Reale on 12 at 8:30 am, we start from via Agnello in Milan to arrive first at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza – with a lunch break and exhibition from 12 to 13:45 – and then a stop with a final on the viale delle Mura in Bergamo Alta, between 4 pm and 5.15 pm.

On 13 June, then, we always leave from via Agnello in Milan at 9:30, to head first on Lake Maggiore, to Stresa, at 12 (with an adjoining exhibition along Corso Umberto I until 14:30), and to Bodio Lomnago, in the province of Varese, between 3:50 pm and 4:50 pm, with the Ferrari Monza passing along Corso Bossi. On 14 June, therefore, here is the day with the most events: it starts again from via Agnello di Milano at 9, then piazza del Comune in Cremona at 11, parade from Roccabianca at 12 and the exhibition at the Reggia di Colorno (both in province of Parma) from 12:30 to 14. In the afternoon, a visit to the center of Reggio Emilia between 15 and 16, and then go to the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena between 15.45 and 17 and stop in Piazza Roma until the evening forwarded.

On June 15, the last day of public events, we leave the Modena square at 8:15 am, to parade at the Castle of Formigine (Modena) between 8:30 and 10 am From there until 3 pm the consequent visit of the Modena Apennines and Reggio, with passage near the Pietra di Bismantova and Quattro Castella. The day ends with a visit to the Ferrari factories in Maranello from 3 pm, and with the celebrations for the 75th anniversary immediately afterwards at the Fiorano circuit.

Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2, how they are made

In short, never so many Monza SP1 and SP2 together. Presented in 2018, the boats are two of the three protagonists (the other is the Daytona SP3) of the Icona line that celebrates the Prancing Horse. Mechanically based on the 812 Superfast, under the carbon fiber shell there is a naturally aspirated V12 of 6.5 l for 810 hp and 719 Nm at 8,500 rpm. They are made in just 100 units each at the base price of 1.6 million euros, and among the fastest models of the red ever produced. 4,657 mm long and weighing 1,500 kg (for the SP1) and 1,520 kg (for the SP2), with a reduced height of 116 cm, they are capable of exceeding 300 km / h of maximum speed to make the 0 -100 km / h in 2.9 seconds. It takes 7.9 seconds, however, to do 0-200 km / h.
