A promotional tour for the World Cup in Lebanon with the participation of Ali Al Habsi and Wael Jumaa

Two ambassadors of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the former Omani international goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi, and Wael Gomaa, the former star of the Egyptian national team and the former Al Ahly club, participated in the promotional tour of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in Lebanon, as part of a series of tours to be organized in a number of Arab countries.
The visit, organized by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy over a period of five days, aims to review the latest preparations and preparations for hosting the World Cup, and to increase the passion and anticipation of the Arab masses, with less than six months remaining until the start of the tournament whistle.
In his statement, Mr. Mohammed Al-Khanji, Director of Local and Regional Media at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, confirmed that the State of Qatar has benefited from various experiences in previous editions to present the best version of the tournament according to the highest standards and levels, and that the Supreme Committee is working closely with its various partners in the country to ensure that A safe and enjoyable experience for all football fans from different countries of the world.
He pointed out that Qatar, since submitting the hosting request, has sought to make its vision to organize an Arab championship in the first place, and has worked through its organization, planning and implementation to portray the Arab and Qatari culture with its human and cultural richness.
Al-Khanji said: The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 reflects in all its details the culture and nature of the region, from the amazing experience that awaits fans, to the smallest details in the design of the stadiums, each of which reflects the spirit and essence of the Arab and Qatari heritage.
For his part, Wael Jumaa, Qatar Heritage Ambassador, expressed his pride in participating in making these historical moments in the annals of Arab sports, and in allowing him to be part of this giant Arab project. He described the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as “for all the Arabs”, promising to watch the sporting events of an unprecedented World Cup.
Regarding the advantages of the World Cup and changing its timing to winter, Ali Al Habsi, Qatar Heritage Ambassador, considered this a positive step, especially in light of the convergence of the distances of the eight stadiums for the tournament, which reflected positively on the missions and the performance of the teams that were incurring the trouble of traveling from one city to another.
The tour of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy delegation during the four days witnessed a number of private meetings with the Association of Lebanese International Veterans and Football Pioneers in Lebanon, the Sports Media Association, and football academies.
For his part, Captain Hassan Ayoub, Secretary of the International Veterans Association, praised the initiative of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, saying that the State of Qatar has dazzled the world with what it has accomplished so far in terms of stadiums, facilities and infrastructure, six months before the start of the World Cup, welcoming the delegation of the Committee in their second country, Lebanon. .
The delegation of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and Qatar’s legacy ambassadors participated in a number of sporting activities with a group of Lebanese football sports academies.
The delegation concluded its tour by visiting the American School, where they met with high school students to inform them about the tournament’s sustainable legacy for future generations on the Arab and international levels.
The World Cup will visit 54 countries around the world, including 32 countries whose teams will participate in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The World Cup will return to Qatar during the tournament, specifically before the final match will be held on December 18, at Lusail Stadium, the largest stadium for the World Cup in Qatar. .
