So Ryan – tell us a bit about yourself!

Names Ryan Hill, Play outside or up top for Hampton and Richmond and I’m 22.

How important is football for you?

To me football is everything and has been all my life, train every day to get better and improve to reach the highest level I can.

Why did you start playing football? And were you immediately a midfielder ?

Started playing football from about 4 and parents obviously saw I enjoyed it so they took me to a local club, and no when I was young I played up top. Didn’t play midfield till 11 a side games.

Who was the player, or players, you looked up to most growing up, and why?

Growing up it was Rooney and Ronaldo when they was both at man united, always wanted to train and play like them when I was younger.

How did you get into the youth of Stoke City FC ? And who helped you the most?

Got signed by stoke on the back of getting quiet far in the FA cup planimetry rounds , stoke scout came down to watch, liked what he saw and came to a few more games and ended up asking me to come in and play away at West Ham at the Olympic stadium, in terms of getting to stoke at the time was a guy called Nas Bashir who helped mentor me and was pushing me to continue to work hard, but in terms of helping me at Stoke it would of been Glynn hodges was u23 manager at the time and learnt so much from him.

Since July 2018 you played for Hampton & Richmond Borough FC. Why did you chose for Concord ?

I chose Hampton as Gary seemed keen to sign me and the boys seemed a really good group of lads that welcomed me in and having elder players in the team at the time with experience I thought I could learn new things. As well as knowing that If I played for them it well it would help me in the long run.

Ryan, what were your highs and lows during your football career?

Highs of football have been signing a 2 year pro at stoke, I don’t really think of anything as a low I just see it as a building block to push on again and do better.

And what is the best game you’ve ever been involved in?

Best game I’ve been involved in, a tough one but personally would of been my first game for stoke v West Ham. A game as a whole I’d say the win 2-0 v Wealdstone just perfect team performance.

What is your ambition in your football career?

My ambitions in football is to play at the highest level that I can. Simple as that.

Ryan, what are your personal goals for the 2020-2021 season ?

Personal goals I haven’t really thought of yet, a must is an improvement on a good season just passed.
