Interview Jay Foulston

I’m a 19 year old football player who lives in Swansea and plays for Newport county! Football has always been a massive part of my life since I was young. My qualities as a defender I would say are on the ball as I like to play and try to keep my self-composed on the ball at all times! I got into Newport academy just after I turned 15 as they were watching me when I played for Cardiff development squad and picked me up from there. Yes made my debut against Southend United and it was an unreal moment for me something I’ve dreamt of all my life…

Interview Charlie Wakefield

I’m Charlie Wakefield, 20 years of age and played for Chesterfield for just about 10 years, coming all the way through the academy, youth team and then into the first team. I can play several positions; Left back, left wing back and also anywhere across midfield, my preferred position is as a number 10 behind the 2 strikers. I got into the academy by just having trials at the time I think I was U11 and then worked all the way through into the youth team. I’d say my youth team coaches at the time in my first year of my scholarship which would be Mark Smith and Dylan Kerr.

My names Kenny Clark and I’m a 31 year old centre half, who is currently captain at Dagenham & Redbridge FC. I think I’m best known for being a no nonsense, tough tackling centre half. Football has been such an important part of my life, I like to think it kept me on the straight and narrow and kept me out of trouble. It has given me the opportunity to do something that I have dreamt of since I was a kid! The experiences and people that I have met over the years has made me the person that I am today which I am extremely grateful for.

Driving me up and down the country to do what I love doing. he has helped me grow and develop in football and also my personal life. He’s definitely a massive inspiration to me. Interview Olivia Cook

Hi, I’m Liv a 19 year old uni student and footballer for Nottingham Forest Women. I’ve been playing football since I was 5 years old, and have loved every second!! As a centre-back I have to have the aggressive edge to my game- I love putting in a big challenge when its needed!! But, I would say that I’m maybe more of a technical player, when i was little I played midfield and I think that ‘get the ball down and play’ mentality is something that permeates my game at times.

Interview Rhys Davies

I’m Rhys Davies, I’m 19 years old and a left back at Hereford FC. My preparation for games changes all the time, I always make sure I am well rested and have a good pre match meal, but other than that I have no pre match rituals I have to do. It’s got to be the fans and volunteers, you can have the best players and coaches in the world but without the fans there wouldn’t be the football environment we have…
