Interview
Introduce yourself…
Hi I’m Jeff king 24 years old.
How important is football for you?
Football is the only thing I’ve really known since a young age, it’s the highlight of my week!!
Who are the most important people within football environment?
My dad was always most important cause he took me across the country to training, games and helped me get where I am today!
Jeff, you started your career by Altrincham FC. How did you experienced the youth competitions?
I enjoyed my time at Altrincham, learnt a lot with good people in such a nice club! Good coaches, that couple of years there helped me a lot!
Between your time by Altrincham FC and joining the academy of Bolton Wanderers, you played for Prescot Cables FC, Nantwich Town FC, Kendal Town FC, Trafford FC, Ashton United FC, Witton Albion FC and Droylsden FC.
I found it quite easy moving club to club for game time as I’m quite an easy going person an I fit in most places, all them teams was brilliant with me an helped me get progress.
On 19 September 2017, You made your Bolton Wanderers debut against West Ham United in the third round of the EFL Cup. How important was that moment for you ?
To make my debut in the Olympic stadium in front of 35,000 people was massive for me! It gave me so much confidence and I also learnt so much about myself in that game time, a moment I’ll never forget.
By Bolton Wanderers, you was loaned out to FC United of Manchester. Where you played 5 matches and scored 4 goals! How did you experience these periods?
I loved every minute at FC United, What a club!!! Great fans, great people, I’m glad I done so well there and have a good reputation with their fans.
Jeff, you signed for Scottish Premiership club St Mirren in June 2018. Did you noticed a lot of difference between the football in England and in Scotland ?
Yes Scotland is a lot different to England in terms of football, the football in England is a lot more technical an coached a lot better, Scotland is a lot more clicky, an the Scottish coaches are a lot less developed than the English I believe.
In August 2019, you signed for National League club FC Halifax Town. Why did you chose for Halifax ?
I chose Halifax because I know they have a massive history, I’d love to help get them back into the football league where they belong, we have to squad to do it an we’re not in a bad position if the season continues!
What are your targets for the rest this season?
Targets are to get play offs an aim for promotion, also hit the 40 appearance mark!
