Interview
Introduce yourself…
Hi I’m Cameron green I’m a left back at Watford currently on loan to Braintree.
How important is football for you?
Football is very important to me I have been playing since I was four and it’s the only thing I have ever wanted to do.
Cameron, in 2016 you moved from Metropolitan Police FC to youth of Reading FC. How did you get into the youth of Leicester City FC ? And who has helped you the most ?
I signed for reading after playing in a show case game for Nigel James, he has helped me the most in my career in football.
At Reading FC you played football for a few years. How did you experience these period ?
I found my time at reading a difficult one with many hurdles I had to overcome I’m very happy to now be at a club like Watford which I thoroughly enjoy.
On July 12, 2019, you signed a contract with Watford FC. Did you noticed a lot of difference between those clubs ?
When you train with Watford’s first team you can see there is a big jump. The quality and intensity is much higher and you can learn a lot from the first team players.
After three months you were loaned out to Braintree Town FC. Why did you choose for Braintree Town FC?
Braintree came in for me on deadline day and it was a very straight forward decision to make. I wanted to go and play men’s football and Braintree gave me that opportunity.
What is the most important football lesson you have learned and who taught you that?
Biggest lesson I learned in football is to be yourself and never give up on your dreams.
Cameron, who is your biggest inspiration ?
My biggest inspiration is Steven Gerrard. I just love how he is a leader of men and the impact he had on big games.
What are your personal goals for this season ?
Personal goals for the season are to make my football league debut and establish myself in a first team.
What’s your ultimate dream?
My ultimate goal is to represent my country.
