Top ten largest football stadiums in the National League.

The National League has 24 different football clubs and is the fifth-highest level of the overall English football league system.

The National League has clubs that are relegated from the Football League Two and clubs promoted from the National League North and South. And therefore there are many differences in the clubs and their stadiums.

See below the top ten largest stadiums in the National League.


1. Notts County FC – Meadow Lane Stadium (18,816)

The club play at Meadow Lane Stadium. The stadium opened in 1910 and it currently has an all-seated capacity of 18,816 for National League games.

2. Halifax Town FC – The Shay (14,061)

The club play at the Mill Farm stadium. The stadium was opened on 3 August 2016 and has a capacity of 14,061 (6,000 seats).

3. Stockport County FC – Edgeley Park Stadium (10,852)

The club play at Edgeley Park Stadium. The stadium opened in 1901 for rugby league club Stockport, by 1902, the rugby club was defunct and Stockport County Football Club moved in. It currently has an all-seated capacity of 10,852.

4. Wrexham AFC – Racecourse Ground (10,771)

The club play at the Racecourse Ground. The stadium is recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest international football stadium that still hosts international matches, having hosted Wales’ first home international match in 1877. Opened in 1864 for football and it has a capacity of 10,771.

5. Chesterfield FC – Proact Stadium (10,504)

The club play at the Proact Stadium (formerly known as the b2net Stadium). Opened on 23 July 2009 and it has a capacity of 10,400 seats.

6. Yeovil Town FC – Huish Park Stadium (9,566)

The club play at Huish Park. Opened on 4 August 1990 and it has a capacity of 9,565 (5,212 seated).

7. Hartlepool United FC – Super 6 Stadium (7,856)

The club play at Victoria Park, also known as the Super 6 Stadium for sponsorship reasons. Opened in 1886 and it has a capacity of 7,858 seated.

8. Aldershot Town FC – Recreation Ground (7,200)

The club play at Recreation Ground. Opened in 1927 and it has a capacity of 7,100 (2000 Seated) .

9. Torquay United FC – Plainmoor (6,500)

The club play at Plainmoor. Opened in 1921 and it has a capacity of 6,500 (2,950 seated).

10. Barnet FC – The Hive Stadium (6,418)

The club plays at The Hive Stadium. The stadium opened in 2013 and has a capacity of 6,500 (5,419 seated).
